Through coaching, an experienced coach can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and provide you with the tools and strategies you need to overcome the challenges you face.

Coaching can also help you improve your leadership, communication and teamwork skills, which will allow you to excel in the professional arena. In addition, coaching can help you increase your confidence and self-esteem, which will allow you to have a better overall quality of life.

If you feel stuck or dissatisfied with your current life, coaching can be an effective way to find your way to a more fulfilling and satisfying life. By investing in coaching sessions, you are investing in yourself and your future, and this can have a significant impact on your life in the long run.

WHAT IS COACHING? —

“Professional coaching is based on a partnership with clients in a process of reflective and creative accompaniment that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”

International Coach Federation – Spain

Therefore, coaching consists of a series of conversations in which the coach works with the coachee (client), so that he or she finds his or her own answers during the process, through powerful questions that lead to new perspectives. The relationship with the coachee (client) is based on full trust and in an atmosphere of confidentiality that will allow the sessions to develop.

Currently, there are many people with diverse backgrounds who define themselves as Coaches. An effective way to know if you are in front of a professional coach is to check if he/she has been trained and has the credentials of the I.C.F. (International Coaching Federation). If you do this, you ensure that your coach has developed excellent coaching skills and applies the code of ethics in every session with you. The code includes key points: confidentiality, respect, equality. Also ICF describes what are the essential competencies that the coach has to develop to achieve effective coaching sessions and what is the limit of what should be worked on in coaching, describing what is for coaching and what is not.
.

The differences between coaching and therapy

Coaching

  • It is a process of change oriented to an objective.
  • It deals with the past and our previous development, as an experience that is updated, conditioning our current behavior.
  • The client is the one who knows the most about what is happening to him/her and what is best for his/her life.
  • The coach offers possibilities to the client, avoiding as much as possible to advise.
  • It has a defined number of sessions before starting the process.

Traditional psychological therapy

  • It is a process of healing or cure of a diagnosed pathology.
  • It delves into the past to find the root of the problem. The past and our previous development, as the experience that explains and determines who we are today.
  • The therapist (due to his training) knows more than the patient about his problem.
  • The therapist tells the patient what to do and what is best for his/her life.
  • The duration and number of sessions is variable and can take months or even years.
How do I know if I need coaching?

It is very important to clarify that a coaching process is not something that I need because I have to do it, but that I need to do a coaching process to achieve a change that I desire. You may need coaching for example when:

You have a concrete goal that you want to achieve.

You feel stuck in your life, repeating patterns of behavior that lead you to the same results.

You want your work and private life to be balanced.

You have obstacles that prevent you from achieving your dreams or goals.

How long does a session last and how long does a coaching process last?

Sessions last approximately 45 minutes. The duration of the process is agreed upon prior to the start of the process and can usually range from 4 to 6 sessions on average.

How do I know if what I want to work on is or is not an objective for a coaching process?

Objectives or goals for coaching work are considered to be all those objectives of personal improvement and development that do not seek to cure a disease or a psychological pathology.

What topics can be a goal or objective for a coaching process?

Some examples of objectives that are for a coaching process can be:

“Improve my time management.”

“Find a solution to the challenges of my current position”.

“Improve my communication skills”.

“I want to be happy in my job”.

“Clearly understand what is best for life”.

What topics cannot be a goal or objective for a coaching process?

Some examples of goals that are NOT for a coaching process might be:

“I want to quit smoking.”

“I have depression.”

“I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder and I want to do coaching to heal.”

“I lost someone close to me 2 years ago and I can’t get over the loss”.

TEAM COACHING —

Team coaching can be the answer to improving your team’s dynamics and performance. If you experience challenges such as lack of goal alignment, communication problems, low motivation or interpersonal conflict, coaching can help team members better understand their roles, improve communication and collaboration, set clear goals and develop effective strategies to overcome challenges and improve performance. In addition, coaching can be useful in situations of leadership change or transition. Invest in team coaching to maximize your team’s potential and take it to the next level.

In addition to improving team dynamics and performance, team coaching can improve the culture and work climate of the organization. By improving communication, collaboration and respect among team members, a more positive and productive work environment can be created. This can increase employee morale and motivation, reduce turnover and improve talent retention. In addition, team coaching can help identify and address underlying issues in the organization, such as lack of diversity and inclusion, thus improving creativity, innovation and efficiency in the company.

      How My Success Started

Mary Neuschweinstein, CEO of EthicPower Ltd.

In publishing and graphic design, lorem ipsum is common placeholder text used to demonstrate the graphic elements of a document or visual presentation, such as web pages, typography, and graphical layout. It is a form of "greeking".

Even though using "lorem ipsum" often arouses curiosity due to its resemblance to classical Latin, it is not intended to have meaning. Where text is visible in a document, people tend to focus on the textual content rather than upon overall presentation, so publishers use lorem ipsum when displaying a typeface or design in order to direct the focus to presentation. "Lorem ipsum" also approximates a typical distribution of letters in English.
